Knits for Little Scamps is created in collaboration with my kids. They have been both creative patterns and huge sources of inspiration.

Slambert is the design my son Aksel has been the most involved in developing.
He started out listing all of the things he did not want, if i knitted something for him. All of them reasonable and sensible demands.

To me the best part was when we started talking about all of the freedom you have when you can knit and design your own garments. This really got Aksel thinking, because all of a sudden he could see all of the possibilities. This meant he had to figure out what makes a great sweater – and a cool one, as well.

Topping that list was a hood and a zipper, so that is what he got.
