Stripes

It’s no secret that I absolutely love stripes.
I adore the simple, graphic look, and then there’s the fact that it is the simplest way to knit with multiple colors.

The biggest disadvantage to knitting with stripes – especially in the round, is the little “step” or “jog” that happen when you change colors.

The best trick I know to make the step as invisible as possible, is to slip the first stitch of the second round of the new color. This evens out the transition between the colors and make it much less visible.

Knit one round in the new color, and when beginning the second round, you just slip the first stitch from the left to the right needle purlwise without knitting it.
